Great Lent is a time for spiritual reflection. While following the customary abstinence from meat and dairy prescribed by the Church, many in the Church also strive to keep to a minimum their engagement with social media and all forms of entertainment.
Nevertheless it is not always possible to disengage from our work responsibilities, which for us have included traveling to Church events and business conferences. We have also held back on marketing emails. But as the great and holy feast of the Lord’s Resurrection approaches, we wanted to inform our friends and customers of some recent events and developments.

After the first Sunday of Great Lent, we headed straight to the London Book Fair, an international gathering of publishers and the businesses that supply services to them ranging from printing to shipping.
That same week, we held a book launch at the Russian Cathedral in Chiswick, London, for The Pursuit of Godliness: Five Centuries on Spiritual Ascent. Bishop Irenei of London and Western Europe graciously hosted the event in the parish hall of his diocesan cathedral, and had a conversation with our director of publications, Nicholas Chapman, about his new book.
This conversation is now available to watch on YouTube.
At the beginning of the third week of the Fast, we travelled to St Mary of Egypt Church in Roswell, Georgia for the ROCOR Eastern American Diocese Southern Lenten Clergy Conference. Here, we again met Bishop Irenei, as he presented a lecture on the topic of spiritual fatherhood. Our sales and marketing executive, Timothy Zelinski, also gave a short talk on the new titles recently published by Holy Trinity Publications.

During the Southern Clergy Conference, we officially launched our new website. Our old online store has been integrated with our main website, and you can now browse and buy all our titles at holytrinitypublications.com
By the fourth week of the Fast , we had returned home to Jordanville for the ROCOR Eastern American Diocese Clergy Conference. Our director of Sales and Marketing, Fr Peter Markevich offered a presentation about our recent activities. You can read the fuller reports about the EAD clergy conferences here and here.
As we are soon to greet the bright feast of Pascha, be sure to browse our new website, where you can also see news updates about all things related to Holy Trinity Publications.
