Introducing the HTP App

Replace social media with prayer and spiritual reading

For better or worse, smart phones and tablets have become a part of daily life for nearly everyone, worldwide. Priests everywhere report numerous pastoral issues related to excessive use of social media and other online services.

But despite the ills of mass media, an opportunity has arisen — what if you could replace time wasted scrolling through advertisements, AI-generated images or mindless memes with a kathisma from the Psalter, or a short prayer, or a word of spiritual counsel?

In furthering our missionary goal to spread the light of Orthodoxy as widely as possible, we have developed our own eReader app that can fit the entire HTP digital catalog into your pocket. Have you ever wanted to pray the 3rd or 6th hour while traveling, but couldn’t fit The Unabbreviated Horologion in your bag? Or do you often read multiple books at once, not knowing which to bring with you? With this app, you can always dig up spiritual treasures from the Pursuit of Godliness, Living Without Hypocrisy, My Life in Christ, or any other book we offer.

All eBooks purchased are tied to your email address, and can be read on the HTP app on as many devices as you want. After purchasing an eBook, you will receive an email confirmation with instructions for downloading the app and entering your HTP account info. When you open the app, your book(s) will automatically be accessible under “My Books”.
